Life in The Ghetto

Right, so last Saturday I moved into my uni accommodation, the Hector Boece Court, better known as The Ghetto. In our flat there's 5 more people besides me - 2 Germans, a Scotsman, a Spaniard and an Englishman; got the makings of a good joke right here, just add Walked into a bar. We each got our own room, but the kitchen, toilets and shower are shared.
I'm a lucky mother, I suppose, because I think I've already met a good friend here, the Spanish guy in my flat. He's just the sort of guy I like (for the phobics - no homo), loads of fun and not judgemental. Other cool people I've met are Florine Spacecake from the Netherlands and Anna, the Dane. A lot of other people, too, but mostly the kind I won't be friends with in long term.
The three days I've been here have been very busy. Naturally, as students, we've been prowling the streets of Aberdeen for free stuff. And we've been successful, our flat is filled with stupid shit. Gone out, too, every night, and although no bangin's been going on, it's been fun. No recollections from the Sunday night, all the clues I have are a cracked phone screen and a "I survived Freshers at the Watering Hole" t-shirt. Whatever.

I'll post a few pictures as soon as I can. Oh and I have a huge artsy Jimi Hendrix poster on my wall, that's a nice thing to wake up to. The man is just so chilled, god damn.
